Clubs @ RCHS

Randolph County High School offers many opportunities for students to get involved in extracurricular activities. Along with sports teams, the following 18 clubs are available to students:

 

The Meteor

  • Sponsors: Mr. Brian Millican

Originally founded in 1911 and resurrected in the 2018 school year, this club features student-written articles related to school news, student artwork, student writing, and interviews with faculty and staff via the newspaper’s website.

 

TRUTH (Teens Reaching Up To Him)

  • Sponsor: Mr. Brian Millican

Refounded in late 2017 by Mr. Millican, this club was created to have a safe place of worship, prayer, and devotion with fellow students. TRUTH meets on Thursday mornings before school starts and ends when homeroom begins.

 

EOT (Entertainers of Tomorrow)     

  • Sponsor: Mr. Brance Taylor

Founded in the 2007 school year, Entertainers of Tomorrow is a club whose purpose is to use the dramatic arts to create tomorrow's entertaining today. The large cast works to develop skills in acting, singing, dancing, costume design, set design, sound, improvisation, and daily team-building opportunities, all of which work together to create first-rate productions and leave the performers with priceless life lessons, memories, and abilities beyond their own expectations. 

 

Tabletop (RPG)

  • Sponsor: Mrs.Rachel Beverly

Founded at the end of the 2016 school year, this club gives students who enjoy acting and storytelling in front of smaller groups an opportunity to do so.

 

Mu Alpha Theta

  • Sponsor: Mr. Josh Horn

Founded in the 2015 school year, this club is ideal for math-minded students.

 

Scholar's Bowl

  • Sponsors: Mr. Jacob Hicks and Mr. Brian Millican

This club allows students to compete in a buzzer-style trivia competition featuring questions related to literature, math, science, history, sports, and current events.

 

Prom Committee

  • Sponsor: Mr. Josh Horn

This club is a group of juniors that plan each year's prom. This deals with food, music, decorations, etc.  

 

R club

  • Sponsor: Coach Pat Prestridge

This club is for the varsity athletes and provides the letterman jackets for them.

 

Beta Club

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Rachel Beverly

This club provides the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

 

Junior Beta Club

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Rachel Beverly

Like the Beta Club, this club provides the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

 

FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America)

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Carolyn Monroe

This club promotes personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education.

 

FFA

  • Sponsor: Mr. Toby Stitcher

This club makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.


Juniorettes

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Jennifer Robertson

This club provides students with an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community life, become aware of community issues, meet the needs of community issues, and learn to work with a group.

 

Key Club

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Jennifer Robertson

The Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

 

SGA (Student Government Association)

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Jennifer Robertson

The purpose of the SGA is to be the voice of the student body at Randolph County High School, to serve as a model government, and to foster leadership development.
